Plan an amazing trip to Bahrain

Between the ochre beaches, pale desert sand, intense blue of the sea and the brightness of its skies, you will experience a whirlwind of sensations in Bahrain.
Located in the Persian Gulf, this tiny kingdom (barely half the size of London) is composed of 36 islands, of which the most important are linked to Saudi Arabia by a series of bridges and harbour walls over 15 miles long.
Start your visit in the magnificent harbour fortress of Qal’at al-Bahrain. Built by the Portuguese, it is now a UNESCO world heritage site. The archaeological site reveals a little of the ancient and mysterious Dilmun civilisation. Here you will also find one of the largest necropolises in the world, close to the village of A’ali. Strange mounds, some of which are 3,000 year-old royal tombs line the desert landscape.
Rich in history and tradition, the Kingdom of Bahrain will also surprise you with its modernity. Manama, the capital, is furnished with bold architecture. Manama is home to the national museum’s rich collection of Dilmun artefacts, and the Al Fateh mosque, one of the largest in the world. Manama has managed to preserve its customs and you will love strolling through the souk with its flavours of the orient.
From the scalding desert to the warm seas, Bahrain is a fascinating country.
