Plan an amazing trip to Qatar

Are you looking for an exotic change of scenery for your next holiday? Try Qatar, a small country in the Persian Gulf. Discover Doha, the capital of this emirate, where the tall modern buildings mingle with tradition. Visit the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, an architectural treasure which houses an exceptional collection of objects tracing the culture of Islam. Raise your eyes to the enormous skyscrapers with their often surprising forms such as the very tall Tornado Tower, intriguingly shaped liked a tornado (unsurprisingly). Stroll the backstreets in the heart of the town before coming across Souk Waqif, the great market where you will find local crafts such as woven fabrics, jewels and clothing. Don’t miss the equally intriguing Falcon Souk, an unusual place of shops dedicated to falconry and a clinic specialising in these birds of prey. You can restore yourself in the numerous restaurants and cafés which specialise in cuisine from around the world. At night, head to the Pearl-Quatar, an artificial island, for a breathtaking view of Doha bathed in artificial light. Away from the city, adventure out on camelback or in a 4x4 to the desert dunes for an unforgettable experience.
If you enjoy horse riding, you will delighted with the Al Shaqab equestrian centre: its horses are said to be the most beautiful in the world.
To the north of Doha, Al Khor and Al Thakhira are two neighbouring towns where you can kayak through the wild mangroves. You can also enjoy the magnificent view of the turquoise sea lined with fine sand. You won’t tire of Qatar.
