When to go to Serbia?
Serbia enjoys a temperate continental climate characterised by harsh winters and hot summers. Temperatures can plunge to -10°C in the northern mountains or drop to -1°C in Belgrade during January. Conversely, the months of July and August offer pleasant temperatures ranging from 18°C to 29°C in the capital. The intervening spring and autumn, are limited to a few weeks each.
The natural riches of Serbia, such as the Resava Caves, Tara National Park and the Djerdap Gorge are a joy for hikers and its historical heritage (Viminacium, Felix Romuliana, Lepenski Vir) delights lovers of archeology. On the banks of the Danube, the capital city of Belgrade offers many points of interest: The National Museum, the fortress, Saint-Sava cathedral etc.
What are the seasonal characteristics of this Balkan country?
Summeroccurs from May to September bringing warm temperatures. You can, for example, expect 16°C to 27°C in June on he streets of Belgrade.
