Con Dao beaches

The Con Dao archipelago has some of the most unspoilt beaches in Vietnam. It is quite difficult to get there, its paradise islands offer an experience off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal seaside resorts. There are only a handful of establishments that welcome visitors for a real 'castaway' experience.

An Bang beach

Located about a twenty minutes’ walk from the centre of Hoi An, An Bang is a very lively beach with many restaurants. Surprisingly calm, it is the perfect place to go swimming after a long day of walking through the streets of Hoi An's old town.

Located a one-hour bus drive north of Nha Trang, Dai Lanh beach is unknown to most tourists. So that is what makes it so attractive. This long strip of golden sand will allow you to enjoy the Vietnamese sun in peace and quiet. A small seaside restaurant offers the opportunity to taste local food, before spending the night in a small hut facing the sea.

Paul's review

Everyone can find what they are looking for if you search well enough. My favourite Vietnamese beaches are located on the Ha Long Bay side of Cat Ba island. I liked being able to swim in this exceptional setting, even though the water is rather cool in January. In the Hoi An area, I really enjoyed An Bang beach and its festive atmosphere at night. It is the perfect place to have a drink with your feet in the sand. Finally, around Bha Trang, I enjoyed the tiny beach of Dai Lanh, which I discovered during my stay on Whale Island.
